One thing Steam did correctly right out of the gate is one purchase across both platforms with SteamPlay. I may not game much on my Mac, but I barely even hesitate to pull the trigger on a purchase if I see cross-platform support knowing that my purchase is that much more versatile.

I've been playing and enjoying King's Bounty. I was going to pick up the Gold Edition from this sale and then found out it's been sitting in my account, purchased but not installed since the last time it went on sale.

Tell me something I didn't already know. I've had to replay the demo multiple times already just because I need to jump from just a little bit higher or steal that cool helicopter straight off the bat and fly around wreaking havoc. The one thing that worries me is I'll still be hooked come Splinter Cell.

"idn't know so many people didn't enjoy the underdome. I, for one, thought it was a nice offshoot and have had a blast playing through it. I haven't tried to beat all the upper challenges, but that doesn't particularly bug me.
I did have a fairly consistent partner to play through it (at least for the lesser arenas), but we both agreed after one attempt at the long arenas we should at least have even levels before trying something so time consuming again.
I have not yet decided to pick up the Zombie Island DLC however as that failed to compel me. I am looking forward to this next batch and it looks to be yet another improvement worthy of my support and is downloading as I type. Personally, the Borderlands DLC has been some of the most compelling post-release support for a game that I've seen and should this General Knoxx DLC prove to better the game yet again, I'll probably even go back and pick up the Zombie Island if for nothing else than to show my support for what has provided numerous hours of entertainment"

"y thanks. Although, it's vaguely familiar and I have a feeling that I may have scoped this out previously and filed it under "sometime in the future when I have endless amounts of free time." Regardless, it didn't survive my last hard drive failure so I am grateful.
Huh, bitmob doesn't even like as an escape code for space. I guess there's always url shortening to get a working link

" good old Glider PRO. I think I have a disk in a random CD case somewhere around here, although it wouldn't do much good in an Intel Mac world. I'm curious if you know of any legitimate imitations or substitutes.
The one thing glaringly missing from your article is 2 player co-op. Most of the games of Glider PRO I ever played were either with my dad or a friend and it was a blast even though the it didn't really add much in terms of motivation for having two gliders"

"il notification for this post was the last thing I expected to receive today.
Thought it was well worth mentioning that the Mad Moxxi DLC pack did wonders to help alleviate this issue (with an in game bank) and was quite a featured and fun batch of content alongside to boot. Well worth the 800 points if Borderlands has held your interest this long or you're just now starting"

" take that bet.
Assuming you did buy a copy, you wouldn't be buying it for yourself, you'd be buying it for a grand. And if you didn't, well, looks like I win either way ;"

What I tend to do is create a list with friends that use a particular game and then if the wall post is compelling (i.e. if it is something I would click on if a friend posted it on their wall) I'll go in and edit the privacy settings to only post to the specific group for, say, Farmville or whatever before I post it.
It does require a bit of work and a small amount of maintenance, but I'm not spamming people who don't even play the game and if someone I know is already playing they can get in game bonuses and such.
For games that none of my friends are playing, sometimes I'll hit the game forums (if there are any) and often find that some of the bonus links don't even require you to be friends and there are topics where people just copy the links to their bonuses and paste them there so I can both share mine and have a large repository of other people's bonuses that I can try to snag. So that's sometimes an option as well depending on how the game was built.
