3D Gaming

As you may have noticed by now Sony is one of the biggest supporters for 3D gaming — afterall they are bringing 3D to blu-ray and now Playstation 3.  They even showed support during last years CES when they demoed many of their games in 3D.  Many analysts predict that it’s the next big thing for gaming — some used to argue that improving visuals just doesn’t cut it anymore.  The next generation would need something refreshing and not just visually stimulating.

Recently in CES Microsoft also revealed that they would be jumping on board with 3D gaming with 360.  Then again 3D gaming is something that can be nice to have — if you want to have it, if you even have a TV compatible with HD 3D on your Playstation 3 or Xbox 360.    By now 3D gaming isn’t anything new at all for years now people on their PC have been using a code to play many of their favorite games (with the help of 3D glasses) in 3D.  Personally I don’t see myself using this feature in the future at all seeing as I’m not aching to play many of my favorite games in 3D; the whole idea of 3D just never appealed to me.  I’ve never even been one to go see a movie in 3D given the chance.  The Playstation 3 is compatible with  HDMI 1.4 (which is just further proof that Playstation 3 is indeed “future proof”)  it’s possible to play your favorite games in HD 3D, but will you?
