2009 was the year to be a pinball fan, with major releases spanning all 3 major consoles and various portable platforms. The consoles were graced with the ‘Pinball Hall of Fame’ series, and ‘Zen Pinball’ available on the Playstation Network for PS3. Pinball was also represented on portable platforms in download form; the return of the classic 'Pinball Fantasies' is available on the iPhone and PSP, the ‘Pinball Heroes’ series on PSP represents major 1st Party games from Sony and The DSi has ‘Pinball Pulse: The Ancients Beckon’. I was surprised to see so many good pinball simulators in 2009, and hopefully good pinball games in wide release will be a future trend.
