"dmit I missed or misunderstood the part about sliding over the notebook and playing SF IV on your console. It still doesn't resolve the issue that the term "gaming notebook" is really an oxymoron. Everyone can look forward to when I compare gaming on my PSP to gaming on my PC gaming rig. The first topic I will cover is loading times;). Then I will complain about poor graphics and sound. Then I will conclude the article by comparing complaining about my psp display compared to my dual monitor setup for my PC. I'm only kidding, sort of. I'm looking forward to Bitmob promoting my "controversial" article. I wrote the paragraph just poking fun at myself (for missing part of the article), the author, and Bit"

"just going to come out and say it. I think the fact that this was selected as a front page story shows how little the Bitmob editors know about PC gaming. From the very start of comparing a portable PC product to a gaming console is flawed. Then the individual complains about the install time of Crysis. He proceeds to play SF IV while it is being installed. I guess I didn't realize that this was an option when installing a game on a console. This multi-tasking will affect install times. I could go on, but I'm sure the other points are made in previous po"

"t got the standalone game for $46 from Borders, I used a coupon. It is probably worth somewhere between $30-$40 for me since I like to solo game. I refuse to pick up anymore instruments even if I get them for pennies on the dollar. I agree with Fitch that many gamers don't have the money, and/or are tired of music games. That isn't a good formula for this game. Although you can tell it is made for a more casual experience so maybe non-gamers will pick up the full ban"

"all four games, while they are somewhat similar, they are different enough that you could play one and not like it. Then play a different one and love it. The big difference is how much micromanagement is necessary. If you enjoy that element PJM leads in that category, since you have to pick up currency, avoid enemies, you can upgrade a unit by leaving your guy on it for a period of time, and you can only upgrade a unit by moving your guy to the unit. Just a note on Defense Grid, Steam has had it for as low as $"

"earance is the short term issue. The long term issue is health. If you ever study how evolution plays into people being overweight you realize man/woman hasn't adjusted to having limitless food available. It is a tough fight, especially with those cursed with the wrong genes. I wish I could give you better advice than just to keep battling even though the deck is stacked against you. However, as you know life isn't f"

"things that bother me are: Ongoing jokes that just really aren't that funny or particularly clear, see Joystiq's joke about having a video podcast. Talking about a game for 15 minutes, but only mentioning the name at the very beginning of the conversation. Vidogame "journalists" complaining how such and such a company did not send them a game/review code even though their site isn't know for reviews, see Joystiq again. One thing that don't bother me: Length of the podcast, if it is too long don't listen or use your fast forward button"

"ellent article on an issue that many gamers need more information on. I have three 7 upgrade orders pending at Amazon (only $50 each). I have Windows 7 RC installed on a decent HP notebook, a Asus netbook, and my HTPC. The only issue I've noticed is there seemed to be a "memory leak" in the 64-bit version I installed on my HTPC when watching Coop through Itunes. The netbook runs just as well with the 32-bit version as it did with XP. I've said it on many other boards, but many console gamers should consider PC gaming. The 360 is essentially a stripped down version of a PC anyway. The difference is you cannot switch out parts if something fails. You pay huge $$$ to upgrade the HD. Plus games get patched on the 360 just like on the PC now. I have no formal computer education, but have built two systems from scratch using Vista 32-bit and Vista 64-bit. Both were "learning experiences", but no issues were very difficult to solve. Now I have access to the Steam sales (Trials for $1.50 versus the XBL version that has yet to be released), and to cheaper and more diverse games. I still like my consoles, but love"
