"EGM... Just uttering those three magical letters together fills me with tranquility. EGM was the most important thing to gaming outside of the games themselves. In the mid-90s print was the only way I could get game information. Back then I wasn't old enough to buy the magazine so I would ride my bike to the library and read back issues. My local library was awesome enough to have the at least the last 12 issues on hand at all times. I used to scour the back issues and just be amazed by all of these games I had never seen in person before. I lived in a small town that didn't have a Blockbuster, Babbage's, Software Etc... or Funcoland. I was lucky to see in person any games that weren't big time releases. I remember EGM #88 being a giant issue and it just blew my mind. I used to go to the library so often that eventually they offered to sell me the old issues. I paid $.10 an issue and walked out feeling like it was Christmas. I continued to read EGM from that point on until it was cancelled. I swear a piece of me died that day. One of my favorite memories of EGM was when they convinced my 12 year old mind that I could jump Lara Croft into a pool and make her come out naked. I tried  and tried and tried to see those polygon boobs. When EGM died I had over 150 issues and the posters. My favorite poster was the covers poster. It had all of the covers on it. Sadly last year my house flooded and I lost all of my EGM collection. I'm not going to lie, throwing away soggy issues of EGM made me cry. It felt like throwing away good memories. The only remnants were the covers poster (ruined) and a poor copy of 9/9/99.

Shoe I miss you at EGM. "

"I'd name him Humphrey Bogart since they both blow a lot of smoke. I'd just call him Bogart for short. Xbox 360 please. "

"Childhood fantasies to be Johnnie Rico? Probably not. We grew up in the 90s (born in the mid 80s) so dumb fun was/is just a way of life."

"Edf 2017. 3am at my brothers apartment. seeing how long we could survive on the hardest difficulty in the caves full of acid spewing black ants. Usually about 20 seconds. For some reason it was hilarious just how fast they would maim us."
