Bitmob Giveaway: Tropico Reloaded

By Dan Hsu in Tropico ReloadedTropico 3Bitmob Giveaway on

In preparation for the upcoming release of Tropico 3, publisher Kalypso Media is giving away five copies of Tropico Reloaded to Bitmob readers. Since Tropico Reloaded is actually three games in one, that's like...a lot of prizes.

To enter, just comment on this story (with the usual Bitmob Giveaway rules in effect -- see below).

Tropico Reloaded (PC) includes the original Tropico, Tropico: Paradise Island, and Tropico 2: Pirate Cove. Tropical 3, pictured above, is the latest in the city-management series due out in September for the 360 and PC, and is probably the sunniest game we've ever seen.

This contest wraps up in a week, and we'll contact the winners and send out the prizes after that. Oh, and about those rules: void where prohibited; you must be registered on Bitmob with your real name and email; prizes will only go out within the continental U.S. (hey, you can always have us send it to a mainland friend or family member to forward on to you).

I am only an hour from Detroit, so I AM IN, and if any other Canadians want to put their name in, I will get in next time I am in Detroit, and forward it onward!

Lance Darnell , July 31, 2009
Hmmm, I've heard of the serious, but never played it. I'd love to try it out though.
Adam Jorgensen , July 31, 2009
I've never played Tropico, but I might like it.

The demo is good fun, and I've always heard good things about Tropico. Consider my hat thrown in.
Wesley Kenyon , July 31, 2009

Brian Tan , July 31, 2009

Chad Tobin , July 31, 2009
Olé!

The comment system says that was too short, but I think there was a lot of implied meaning.
Jeremy LaMont , July 31, 2009
I only tried out the original one many moons ago, but I'm a sucker for games like this and free is always good. Enter me, por favor.
Rob Thomas , July 31, 2009
only played the original, thought it was great!
enter me in, please.
joel stary , July 31, 2009
Seriously Shu, you guys have the MOST boring and unimaginative contests on the internet! Make us fucking work for your shit!
Duncan Hamilton , July 31, 2009
@Duncan - SSShhhhhh!!! I do not like working for anything
Lance Darnell , July 31, 2009
The Contests should vary a little bit like... take a picture of ourselves with something tropical.. and including the logo of the game or something.

Or take a picture of us at the beach holding the bitmob logo.

Commenting on this is sort of bland, dont get me wrong if I win then its awesome.
Joshua Perez , July 31, 2009
sounds like it could be fun to try this series out.
Ben Maltz-Jones , July 31, 2009

Jason Alger , July 31, 2009

Josh DuBose , July 31, 2009
It looks really good. Hope My PC can handle it.
Ronald Zimmerman , July 31, 2009
Love city building games. Sign me up
Matthew Erazo , July 31, 2009
@Duncan: You're right. The thing is, we're young and needing to build an audience, so everything's low barrier to entry right now. But we'll try to put some more thought into these moving forward.

@"a guest"... your name isn't showing up right because you probably registered your name with some characters that are causing a bug in our system (probably quotes). It's nothing we can fix right now, but you can fix it by removing those characters. Otherwise, you're not counted right now, because we have no idea who you are, sorry. smilies/sad.gif

Dan Hsu , July 31, 2009
BTW, new rules for this contest: If your name starts with "Duncan Hamilton" or "Joshua Perez" you must post naked pictures of yourself on a beach in order to qualify.
Dan Hsu , July 31, 2009
Um yeah I would prefer naked female pictures
Toby Davis , July 31, 2009
@Shoe - smilies/cheesy.gif Nice!!!

Michael Pangelina , August 01, 2009
Loving these competitions - not for the free stuff, but for the increasing signs that companies are going "That Bitmob place - we should get some good attention there."

Keep it up!
Luke McKinney , August 01, 2009
Hmm I'm torn. Do I write a comment that is meaningful and has to do with the game? Or do I just admit I'm commenting here for the chance for free swag?
Joseph Canalin , August 01, 2009
