What's an Allods Online, you ask? Good question. It's a free-to-play MMO that sounds like a breath mint, from Russian developer Astrum Nival -- and before you stop caring, the Internet's offering positive impressions so far. I'd like to hear Bitmob's impressions, though, and so would Allods' US publisher, gPotato, which is why we've got a few hundred beta keys to give away to Bitmob members.

I've always been one to jump into FTP MMO betas, from Free Realms to Ether Saga I try to get in on the action when possible. They're the only MMOs I can get myself to play, seeing as the idea of paying a monthly fee for WoW just makes me feel ill .
Awkward camera control, interesting character customization, repetitive combat(your character simply stands in one spot while you click away at skills), interesting setting.
The idea of ship combat is interesting, but some parts worry me.
Many of the initial quest spots seem to get overrun with players quickly, I had to look around for 5 minutes to find one of the gang members that I was supposed to defeat for a quest.
Movement was a bit odd for me at first, but that can be fixed in settings.
Thats most of what I got from my first hour of playing, things will probably change as I progress though the game though.
