A little over a month ago we announced our HP Mini netbook giveaway, courtesy of Virgin America's new in-flight WiFi and Google Apps. In the neighborhood of 1000 Bitmob posts later, we have chosen a winner. Or, more accurately, the Internet's premiere website for generating random numbers, Random.org, has chosen a winner. And that winner is 861, also known as James DeRosa! James, check your email because we haven't heard back from you yet!
Congratulations to James, and congratulations to everyone who posted on the site -- you're all winners, even if James is more of a winner in the literal, won-an-actual-item sense. I mean, compared to James you're technically all losers, but ignoring James for a moment, you're definitely winners.
It'll be tough to top this contest, but we'll see what we can do. Consider that a threat!

Also, guest, you probably have a strange character in your name that's causing this whole 'guest' problem.
I've never been in this position, and it's always sounded egotistical and weird when people say it, but I feel a bit guilty.
I wish there were Netbooks to go around for everyone.
I guess my penance will be that I will have to try to comment more often on all your stuff.
And how come no one's told me about random number generating Web sites? I've been writing people's names on tiny pieces of paper, crumpling those papers up, and then tossing them in an old baseball hat. Man, the Internet has everything.
Although I gotta say, my method is more fun.
I'll hopefully being attending PAX east in March, and I going to take it with me to report with on Bitmob!
I'm kidding. Congrats James, and may the Netbook ravage your wrists with carpal tunnel syndrome.
I'M KIDDING.
Bastard!
Rats!
Like I said on Twitter though, I will be beating you up and taking it. So enjoy it while you can, but watch your back!
