"Yo, yo. What up Chris. It's good to see another fighting-game enthusiast on the site, but I could very well be overlooking the others. Anyway, I think that corporations can and will be very beneficial for the scence, but I really hope that doesn't come at the cost of personality. We shall see I suppose.

About the audience -- of course what you say is very true and I probably should've retooled the article a bit before posting it here. =0

In any case,  I see that you're located in Florida. Will you be attending CEO?"

"nks for the comments guys. @Lance: In addition to lying, I think the ease with which people mindlessly respond to a blog, article, etc. (which is also directly related to having an online alias) is something I hope will get better in the future. There are certainly communities and outlets that foster intelligent, conducive dialogue but for each one, there's five more doing the opposite. @Jeffrey: Indeed. I, in no way, mean to speak against being able to clearly articulate one's feelings or response towards a game; however, I think it's OK if there are instances where a game in a series "just doesn't feel the same". You know? But I suppose that comes with the journalistic territory... As for your thoughts on a continued dialogue, I think that there are people in the industry that have thought of and tried to do something similar to what you are describing. It certainly sounds good, but I think the problem arises when you consider the amount of page views something like that generates -- especially in this day and age when having the latest review or news story makes all the difference. Who really cares when the hype, as you say, is g"

"nce: Haha. I'm not sure if it's just an initial bad impression or what, but a majority of people aren't pleased at all. I thought this was pretty humerous: [img]http://i136.photobucket.com/albums/q164/Proff_X/636472980_xLfP6-O.jpg"

"nce: I know! Craziness mayne. ;) @Nick: Oh! Thanks a bunch for your criticism. Much appreciated.
The Deus ex machina at the end kind of bothered me. Jessica didn’t call Sonia, but she shows up (and brings a gun?!). OK maybe her “plans to help [her] mom” changed, but still, she just comes into the house with a weapon?
Actually, this is somewhat incorrect. I thought that by saying: "Although grabbing Jessica's father's firearm had been instinctive" I would have been able to portray some kind of bond/trust that Sonia had with both Jessica AND her family. But I guess that didn't quite work out. :'( But even so, your feelings about the Deus ex machina are completely valid. ;D - Your thoughts on shifting perspective and the way characters are introduced are pretty funny actually. You see, while in the middle of writing the story I essentially switched protagonist. Sonia was the one that was meant to be abused and ultimately die. However, as you can see, the complete opposite happened. I think I'm still OK with the switch though but agree that more tweaking could have been done. But yea, if anyone else is reading and has even more comments/critiques PLEASE feel free to voice"

"Lance, When I think about it, your statement makes perfect sense and is actually similiar to a phase literature went through in the areas of poetry and criticism amongst other things. I suppose video games are going through a similiar stage. However, I still think that those who believe in the medium should champion and accurately critique its shortcomings and triumphs. I mean, if we don't, who wi"
