Video games just aren’t as difficult as they used to be. Games from back in the NES days are considered some of the hardest video games of all time. Many NES games used a lives system, making gamers start the game over if they lost all their lives. Games have progressively been including features that make the adventure easier to finish.

If there really aren't going to be water levels in the game that would suck. At least there will be blasting barrels and mine carts. After playing the original DK Country, I realized how much harder games were back then. You get so many lives and if you lose them you have to do the last few levels over again. If they make it anything like New Super Mario Bros. Wii then it will probably be easier in terms of lives but will most likely offer some challenges in gameplay.

No I'm not really a fan of fighting games. Plus none of these girls I've seen in fighting games stand out.

That last sentence was the perfect way of describing my own feelings towards this issue. I read a blog on another site where this so-called fan of Final Fantasy said he refuses to buy any games made by Square Enix following the announcement that FF Versus XIII will be multiplatform. I thought that was the stupidest opinion ever. He can still buy the game for his PS3, where's the harm in letting a wider audience enjoy the game?

I agree. Motion control just needs more time. Obviously it'll take off since Microsoft and Sony want to get into the market after seeing Nintendo' success. Just like you mentioned the introduction of 3D games in N64 and PS era, and online gaming for PS2 and Xbox. Other standards I think some future consoles will be equipped with are HD which was introduced in this gen, and playing other forms of media, like music and movies. Nintendo has yet to include the latter in their systems. I think with 3D tvs coming out, the next generation will include 3D like they did with HD this generation.

At impact, there would be an explosion with many colors sprayings out. Both bodies would slowly dissolve and green and blue round items would drop. Anyone could then run up to collect these items and they would gain experience points and munny that can be spent on weapons and spells.

In this city, survival of the fittest is the most important way to think or you'll be left out to dry by the gangstas and thugs that want what little money you have and the raggedy clothes off your back so they can sell it to some unsuspecting passerby who will inevitably get ripped off and robbed of more money by getting his ass kicked by that gangsta.

That's interesting that you play co op with your sister. It's a lot easier when you can tell someone who's actually in the room that your health is low. Then they can give you some herb, but eating bananas is a more efficient way of healing that the developers should consider incorporating into the game.

I appreciate the criticism. I know I kinda rushed this. As far my mention of Fable, I was trying to point out that it has the same free roam world aspect of earlier mentioned games. I disagree that it can be considered the same type of game as Super Mario World. Fable II allows you to choose the quest you take and abandon that quest at any time to work on a different quest.

I realize I do bounce around a lot and it takes a few paragraphs to get to the point, but my point is DLC, while sometimes good since it can bring us back to a game that has been collecting dust since we beat it, can also take advantage of consumers by making them pay too much or by releasing the rest of the game consumers should have received with the copy they bought.

Toby, I've been noticing downloadable game more lately.I want to try Deathspank and I'm really looking forward to Necromachina for its four player coop
Jason, I wouldn't doubt if more developers started charging a fee to play online. The new UFC 2010 requires you to download the online mode. Although it's free, it might give someone the idea to charge money to download online multiplayer modes.
Kurtis, I never knew Shoe wrote an article on this issue and I did just notice the problem. Until recently, I never really had the desire to play co op games and now after actually trying to find one I get to feeling they might be rare.
As rare as they might be, I will definitely think about checking out some of those downloadable titles.
