"I don't like big budget games as well. On the Japanese side, FFXIII was just a big non-event. It's a non-event because nothing actually happens in the game. It's just a show of cool people enjoying cool lives and saving the world with all their over-the-top coolness. MGS4 was the worst game in the series in my opinion. I sincerely hope for more interesting Japanese titles like Tales of Vesperia, MGS 1, 2 and 3 and Rogue Galaxy. Good news though, we'll get The Last Guardian which seems to be a game worth spending time on. I'm just afraid, as you say, that we'll see fewer of this kind of titles in the future. The damage caused by the Call of Duty business model in the gaming industry still needs to be assessed. It's a good thing contenders like Battlefield 3 create hype by innovation, and not just sheer advertising (and not that CODs are essentially bad games, but that their business model doesn't lean on the innovative side)."

"I've never shot a gun in my life except once during a summer camp (whatever), but I would still be interested in a game that gives me the real deal (not to say that BF3 is that game). I don't agree that fun shooters take realism out of the equation to make it better. I agree with the Forza vs Gran Turismo metaphor. MW is fun, but if you tell me another game let's me experience war at a more realistic level, I'll try it for sure."

"I disagree with you. Watching the trailer on this page I found that the aiming does look like it's a real gun in this game. I think actual gun physics are something interesting if you come to think of a shooter, and it's better in my eye than just easy shooting gameplay."

"I agree with Jason Lomberg. I prefer buying physical media, especially with all the DRMs that a service like OnLive entail. I guess I also like the idea of collecting games, rather than owning digital copies of a game."

"Bruno, es-tu du Québec? Avec ton nom, je suppose que oui, moi je suis de MOntréal.
BTW, me too I find games too long. That's what I liked about CoDMW2, even though I haven't technically finished it because I had to reinstall my whole computer because of some bios issues. Anyways, happy hol"

"ave to say, I don't agree with you. I really appreciate a game that has a lot of depth, although as you say a lot of triple-A games are really shallow.
I haven't played Chrono Cross or Final Fantasy VIII that you played recently, but I am quite sure that you would agree that there is something good about what these games are trying to do and the emotions they're trying to trigger with the players.
I don't know, it just seems to me that triple-A games (or more obscure titles, as it is) should be more than just a go from point A to point B thing and that while some do really poor in this area, some really succeed in creating interest for the ga"

Think you made a typo: "...I've purchased a license to access..." or "...I've purchased a licensed access" but not "...I've purchased a licensed to access".
Sorry to point out."
