This is a controversial subject and it may just turn the videogame industry upside down, shaking it to its very core. However, now is the time to speak out. This has been bothering me for many years and it's about time I had the chance to speak out on behalf of a minority that has been wronged against since the beginning of games. That minority being of course; people with really blonde hair and really long last names. Back in the day I used to game with my friend who has the unfortunate last name Pfutzenreuter. Mr. Pfutzenrueter and I have had a long love affair with sports games and when the ability to create ourselves in a game came along we were both ecstatic. That was until we soon realized that neither of us could truly be created. For years we had epic battles of Amundson vs. Pfutzenreut. Then we were able to represent ourselves more truly, with the ability to customize our looks. He would be able to rock a strikingly similar brown pompadour hairdo and I would have supposedly "blonde" hair which was more often than not just slightly less brown and sometimes completely gray. Warp ahead to 2009 when we can adjust the width and fullness of our lips, the set and crook of our eyes, and even upload and scan a photo of our very faces. Most games give you the option of blue hair, red hair, even black hair...but blonde is almost always light brown. Do they not have people with light blonde hair everywhere? Do the makers of Fight Night 4 think brown hair with specks of blonde is what "light blonde" looks like? Damnit, when my character gets rocked in the face I want to feel like it's me! Tiger Woods is an EA game, and they did a great job getting blonde hair correctly. Why did they not share this secret of the trade? At least I didn't feel so behind when we recently started a game of basketball online and the war of Amundson vs Pftuzenreut started anew. Wouldn't you want to punch this handsome fella in the face?
