Yesterday I had a breif chat conversation with someone from a different site using the gmail chat.  After realizing a few things I am not sure they should be doing what they are doing.  It is more of a 360 community then over all game site as they promote, but then again there is more to this kettle I am calling black.

  One of my major pet peeves is when you call your self a news outlet for console gaming and don't cover all three major platforums.  Really if your going to be doing news then they better have a Wii, PS3 and 360 .  Now when the site promotes all three console's, but yet to provide equal amount of news/reviews for each console is when I get up set.  If they are not going to seriously promote one of the consoles I think it is right to call them fanboys for the most part.  However not to include one console just because of reasons unknown is still not right.  

 History on me for a moment:  I may be 27 and seem like an average gamer trying to break into the industry like everyone else.  Yes I am still trying to break in even though I have a wife and kids to support.  What you all don't know is I Moderate for three different game developers while doing developer interviews for a different site.  I do this all in my spare time and for free.  So I take heart to the contacts I made eve if it is them telling me to go away cause they can't help me. (Yes even I got a rejection pm from Shoe when he was in his 1up.com days)  I still cherrish it cause it has only made me work harder.

  So now I am back from my tangent.  If there not going to do work and just ask for contacts that bothers me.  Now if I share contacts with someone then that is totally different cause I am sharing them to help.  The key is if they are asking to me that is them not trying to do much work to get that contact.  Really after they asked me for a contact I seriously started to wonder if this is a legit site.

   With these two things on obtaining contacts or not covering a platform you say you cover.  I just can't see sites calling themselves sites.  They may know of the games, but they don't know about the games or product they are covering.  Really though some of the new sites should combine with each other and share the cost to make a complete site.  Then again these new sites should start doing more leg work in stead of asking for hand outs.
