Despite the origin and meaning of the word, gaming was rarely ever a relaxing past-time for me. It's not that I was continuously playing video games with infuriating controls, or unreasonable boss-fights, but rather, my interpretation of gaming's definition had become increasingly distant from that of the media's. Most of the time that I was locked in front of a console, unholy words were spoken, controllers nearly broken, and blood-vessels were popped. These hellish actions wern't being induced by the industry's new artistic experience, no, no, they were from my journey to re-give a teabag to a 12 year-old kid online...and I loved every second of it.

If you were to have asked me in kindergarten what kind of power I'd want if I were a super-hero, I'd probably tell you something like x-ray vision, or to be irresistible to the ladies. One's perfect for fighting an archnemesis, the other for relaxing after said fight. After toying around with Cole in Infamous, it was quite clear to me that no one at Sucker Punch surveyed any kindergarten-babies. That, or someone with power in the company was using this game to promote the Hydro company. Sad.

I'm sure many of you have heard some sadly stupid things in your lives. It could have just been from a person who constantly says what everyone isn't thinking, or from a usually wise citizen who just happened to have a "blonde moment". Hell, I know I've had some stupid moments. It's almost a statistical fact, stupid things will be said. And me, being a high-school student, I'm bound to witness at least one of these events in my daily visit to the legal child-labor camp. Like many of you enjoying the Bitmob scene, I've come to support the writers and editors that  were once apart of Electronic Gaming Monthly (EGM). I owe a lot to the sadly deceased magazine. Not just because it was the magazine that helped solidified my insurgence into the "hardcore" gaming scene. But because I wouldn't be here right now, working on becoming a better writer.
