Portal 2 is a truly fantastic game, but numerous loading screens break the immersion factor all too often.

"Aw, really on the Sonic Generations demo? I thought it was great and miles ahead of Sonic 4 with the physics. I had the same problem with missing platforms and not quite making loops at first, but once I "figured it out" everything went smoothly. I also thought the slightly rotating camera during "loopy" parts was really cool. I do fear you are corrent about Generations becoming an "inescapably-mediocre final release" though-- I myself will probably only enjoy these classic sidescrolling sections but not the more modern levels."

"Sounds very middle of the road. I'm not very much into horror-type games, but the F.E.A.R. series always seemed at least interesting enough. Just seeing Alma in videos legitimitely freaked me out."

"I also believe returning to a game somewhere down the line after a patch is released is a good idea, but not at the expense of that early initial review. Timely reviews are just part of the business and people want to know what the deal is with the hottest new game now.

If it's buggy, I think a detailed review telling WHAT'S buggy about it is more helpful than just saying "This game is buggy, come back later please." Some of the bugs might not bother some people, so a detailed review from the get-go would still help them out. If a patch comes out later and fixes things then great, say what it fixed and how it makes the game better (or worse?)."

"Forget "Beware of Dog!" This is all the protection you need."

"Also, in the case of Sony and Microsoft I'm sure (or at least hope) that our DLC will be easily transferred since I don't see them making everyone start over with new gamertags/usernames and <gasp!> achievements/trophies. Since our purchases are tied to those names I don't think it'll be a big thing."

"That was the smoothest stop-motion animation I've ever seen. Really cool and impressive!

I really wish there were more SMA videos other there, they have a really unique aesthetic to them. Some of my other favorites are:

The ORIGINAL Human Tetris: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G0LtUX_6IXY

and

The Used - Paralyzed: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rD-bOewdQts"

"I loved that moment walking into each new test chamber, taking notes of the next next set of obstacles, that moment when the wheels start turning in your head and you think "Okay, how am I going to get out of this one?""

"Valve nails the dialogue every single time. It's smartly written, funny in all the right (witty) ways is delivered fantastically by some great voice actors."

"I LOL'd. I love the part about only being able to shoot walls. "Who wants to shoot walls?"

You are a great satirist, sir. More please."

"I'm excited that I still have so much Portal 2 left to play. I've already finished single-player and now I'm just waiting for PSN to come back up so I can play co-op with my buddy. After that I plan on playing through with the commentary.

I also completely agree with playing through instinctually the first time. I even went as far as to not look at the trophies so all my decisions would be made naturally. It was a nice surprise getting some of the non-story-related ones on my own :)"
