"compare being upset about a game to being upset about a loved one dying is simply ludicrous. The article was in poor taste and was nothing but an over dramatic therapy session for the writer.

And Brian, your list of stereotypes is laughable.

I've lost my great grandmother, grandfather, and father (merely 3 months ago.) I am no coward; I am not anonymous. And I am not self-centered. I've never hurt a person in my life (intentionally).

That does not mean that Aaron's post wasn't any less ridiculous and that it wasn't the game critics version of Godwin's law. "'Uncharted 2 wasn't good enough!' 'Oh yeah, well my friend just died!'." Great way to ridiculously derail any intelligent conversation on the actual (misled upon) topic"

" of the rare breed that does not want this digital future. I want to own and have physical copies of anything I pay money for.

Me not buying a Go is a vote against that anti-consumer move"

" sorry, but there's a right way? You 're implying that there can even be a wrong way to depict sex.

I find the mere notion ridiculous.

Also, nice fail trying to lump all Japanese "dating sims" (or visual novels if you want to be less derogatory) as all trash"

" kind of sick of this topic. The two are not related in any way. I have no issue with fake blood and guts because it's fake.

The same is not true of real blood and guts, or even super real looking fakes (like in Saw and Hostel). Those will make me sick to my stomach every time.

If your fine with both real gore and fake gore, then that is you. That has nothing to do with desensitizing for most people"

"this shift in recent years to making it two words doesn't make sense"

Are you joking? You are right? It's been "video game" since the inception of the medium. Quite the opposite of what you wrote, it's only been in recent years that the media started writing it as "videogame". And hopefully everyone stops writing it as one word. It's absurd"

"you think only what appears in a dictionary is what defines a word, then you have much larger problems than being called a "geek""

Quote of Note: "Some of the graphics in levels are interesting at first but there's so much repetition of the art in levels that it becomes boring."

It was hard to figure out what this review was trying to say. I settled on four relevant statements, two in each category.

I'm honestly not sure where the room for confusion is in that sentence. Perhaps it could be worded better, but I think his point comes across rather fine"

Are you sure you meant to say "As someone who played this game"? Because if you'd played this game for even an hour, you'd know that your questions don't even make much sense. The Evokers are not guns, they only look like them. There is no physical bullet that comes out of it and they do not "kill" themselves in any way. "

Specifically, the doubts and fears that place teenagers under specific pressure. These aren't really real fears, as anyone who has been an angsty teen might be able to tell you, so it's logical for them to be unreal creatures.

Well, can't say I agree there. As a 28 year old whose angst has only grown with age (and for what I believe to be good reason), I couldn't even take the rest of your article seriously after that"
