Damon has been hooked on games ever since playing Combat for the Atari 2600 as a teen. He's sold his fiancee on the idea that his obsessive interest in games and the effects of gaming on popular culture is a purely intellectual pursuit. Really, he's just addicted to the sticks. In his spare time, he enjoys snowboarding, dissecting the latest Alfonso Cuaron movie, and documenting the young Black Oakland social scene. He ruminates on all the above and more on his blog, Danger Brain.

Shinji Mikami, Goichi Suda, and Akira Yamaoka team up to make the psychological action thriller, Shadows of the Damned. At an event in San Francisco, Suda showed off the latest demo. "Hmm...rehash works. But, abbreviated just rolls off the tongue don't it. I mean, say it aloud. Alas, since you apprear to have the vocabulary of an Oxford professor and I'm suffering from a bachelor party hangover, I'll cave."

"I totally agree. They really need a better PR strategy. I can never figure out what this game is other than bizarre, scary (?), fun (?)."

"Exactly! I have to say, from what I played it looks interesting. But, I'm w/ you Juan. Can a Japanese developer really pull this off? I'm not sure."

"I'd say it was a little bit of both. Your Brink review matches up perfectly w/ the Turtle Beach headphones, I thought. Consider this week an alignment-of-the-stars moment. They just so happen to have lined up w/ Christian Davis. Everyone ain't able."
