Trading cards based on video games have traditionally not been a wise investment. Often times, they're produced in the millions and have no value other than to promote the game. So thanks to general disinterest, the secondary market for these cards have almost little to no action.
The one exception? Metal Gear Solid trading cards.

Fifteen years since Microsoft Games CEO Cliff Bleszinski's groundbreaking appearance, a prominent celebrity/game developer will make their return to the spotlight on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon (ugh...) to announce a brand new game for the Nintendo Revolution (sigh...).

" not sure if any other sports game has done this before or since, but NFL 2K5 for the Xbox gave you the ability to replace the generic music being played in the stadium PA with clips from your own custom soundtracks. I remember spending quite some time editing clips to fit into specific situations, like "Bombs Over Baghdad" after a long pass play or "Billie Jean" during a touchdown celebration"
