"Big thank you for bringing my attention to Crimson Alliance and Firefall, they've somehow managed to evade my radar up until now, the latter, Firefall looks like incredibly good fun and I'm really liking the look of the game's art style.
Looks like a cross between Tribes and Borderlands which can only be a good thing, right?

"Such a cool article, really thought provoking and really gave me a better insight into Steam. I had no idea about it declining games other than the recent spat between Valve and EA.
I disagree that Steam is a monopoly, as there are plenty of competitors but I wholly agree that Steam's ascent to top dog has been down to clever marketing and providing a really stable and feature packed service, something I feel even other large publishers can't compete with as EA have recently shown. Steam feels like a gamer service run by gamers and not a corporation and this alone has made it popular amongst myself and my friends.
Cheers for the article, it was an interesting read."

"This game looks absolutely stunning, I really can't believe it's taken a decade to see a real successor to one of the finest games I've ever played.
I'm sure the game is awesome (the internet is awash with praise) but I already know that the game's theme tune just won't live up to expectations, the original's score was just too fitting!

The supposed boss encounters lasted, literally, seconds as we tore through them.
I'm not too hot on Tribes Ascend as there are too many team based shooters that are vying for my attention, I was too young for Tribes 2 also, it was a little before my first online glory days!
That said, I'm a huge fan of everything Red Orchestra, Battlefield and Counterstrike (to an almost embarassingly zealous degree!) and to have sequels for the latter two out, at near enough the same time, almost caused my head to implode!!!
This is shaping up to be the best year, speaking as a primarily PC gamer, for as long as I can remember. Fun times ahead! :)"
