EA, you make no sense. Seriously, you're that guy at the party who just brings everyone down and tries to talk to me about this random guy's bookshelves. Coming back to PC gaming, I think I like you even less: here is exactly why.

Hello Bitmob! I've been aware of this place for a while, I figured it was about time I introduced myself and started writing some stuff. Can't hurt, right?

Doom II has finally made it to the XBLA almost four years after the release of the original Doom XBLA port under a new publisher, with a set of new levels, and one very awesome super shotgun. Does this port show Doom's signs of old age, or does it succeed by bringing the classic to a new generation of gamers?

As a disenchanted Halo fan, I try to articulate why Halo 3:ODST restored my faith in Bungie a little bit, and why I'm actually looking forward to Halo: Reach.

Halo 2 was an important game. It's also a game that took up days and weeks of my life over the past six years. That makes it all the sadder that on April 15th, 2010, Halo 2's excellent online multiplayer will be no more. Come reminisce with me about Halo 2, the biggest, and possibly best, online multiplayer shooter the Xbox has ever seen.

Modern Warfare 2 or Bad Company 2? Screw both of those, I'm playing an awesome little game called Section 8, and I think you should too. Here are ten good reasons why.

"You know, Lance, you bringing up Borderlands makes me want the little pop-ups that hover over guns that tell you just how good they are. I don't think that that's too MMO at all... I think it's super informative. A game like Crackdown, which regardless of it's genre has a bunch of numbers and stats working under the hood, should try to be transparent about it. If telling your players how the game is working is too MMO, then I can think of lots of games that need to be more "MMO.""

"I actually had to stop reading Destructoid because of things like this. I have two major problems with that site. First of all, it was created just so one guy could have a legitimate way to attend e3. Secondly, Jim Sterling. He considers himself as "some hobbyist who's just trying to have fun writing on the Internet." That doesn't sound like a journalist to me, and given his sense of humor, I liked reading his articles. The issue is that he doesn't publicize it enough (it took me 20 minutes to find where I had originally read where he typed that) and so the community winds up taking him seriously.
So kudos to everyone here for trying to make writing about gaming something a little more serious, honest, and accurate."

"I just have one question... what does "The Burnout of Shooters" even mean? Like, I've seen where Blezinski said it... I've seen other people saying it too. But what does that actually entail?"

"Oh by all means, I'm not saying that Halo 3 was BAD, I'm just saying I didn't enjoy it as much as I thought I would because there was just too much stuff to balance (all the weapons from Halo 2, the new Brute weapons, the new Covie and Human weapons, equipment...) so the balance was weird. The single player was also disappointing for me; I was expecting a huge and climactic battle for earth... what I got was kind of a subdued resistance sort of thing. Like I said, not bad, just not what the hype made me think I was going to get."

"I feel like Mega Man 9 is a fantastic example of a game that does achievements well. There is no easy achievement in that game. I've had it since it came out, and my score is still 0/200 (given, I rarely have the time any more to invest in learning the levels, what bosses are weak to what weapons, etc.) My point is, the achievements in Mega Man 9 are actually achievements. You feel gratified for achieving them because they were so difficult.
I feel like achievements should be difficult to achieve. Unfortunately for me, that's not usually the case."

"I have a friend who, upon buying an Xbox 360, modded his controller replacing the 360 control sticks with sticks from the Duke and adding bulk so that it felt more like a Duke. We still laugh at him today, while secretly respecting his conviction."
