Japanese gamers have found an inventive way to create new fun in Super Mario 64. They simply find a 1up mushroom, which starts to chase them as they try to collect eight red coins. They avoid that green fungus like their lives depended on it. I can't understand a word that they're saying, but their screams of horror whenever the 1up floats near them cracks me up every time.
I can count the number of games I have played more than once on one hand. I just rarely ever play a game that is so good it needs to be played more than once...I have played Mario 64 at least twice a year every year since it released. I love that game so much. Every little tiny thing about it. I never thought about this cool little meta game. I must try this.
Oh, and I absolutely cracked up throughout that enitre thing. I couldn't understand a word they were saying but when that guy starts screaming because the mushroom was getting closer I couldn't stop laughing.
Yes! I used to do this all the time with the 1up outside the castle that appears when you jump off the top of the tree, and try to run around for as long as I could without getting it.
