Make Your Own Pixel Sprites

All right, so I really want an iPad. I didn't realize how much I needed one before I saw this lovely sprite-building app by Terrible Games called Sprite Something [via Technabob]:

It has a bare-bones Photoshop look and is probably incredibly easy to use with such a large, touch-screen interface. You can animate the sprites and upload them to a PC/Mac for storing or later use. I'm not entirely sure what the applications for such a program are, but it might make small, faux-retro game development just that much easier.

Sprite Something is $2.99 in the app store.

If someone made an RPG Maker or Custom-Zelda Maker, this cute little app could be used to create the characters for it! That could be really, really cool.

And on a completely different matter you have made ME want an iPad with all of your iPad talk!

I use DotEDITOR on my iphone... but there is no sprite sheet for that! Although you could format and email your creations to yourself and then build gifs and sprite sheets on your computer.
