I’ve never played a Tetsuya Mizuguchi game before (Rez, Lumines) but Child of Eden will probably fix that. Every time I watch footage of it, I simply stare with my mouth hanging open idiiotically. Not that the game is gorgeous or anything, it’s just so...colorful.

Video Blips:

• I don’t know why, but Child of Eden actually has a story attached to it. It looks so intriguing and aesthetically pleasing that I’m just going to ignore whatever forced narrative they threw into it. Acknowledging it would probably just irk me.

After the break, prepare for a post-apocalyptic MMO with Grimlands, paint the world white in Poopocalypse (yes, that’s the title), and test your magical prowess in Dungeon Siege 3.

• As Grimlands proves, geeks seem to have this odd obsession with turning the civilized world into shit. I find it quite ironic, seeing as how they would likely be the first ones to be eaten by cannibals, turned into zombies, or forced into slavery. Take your pick.

• When I first read the title “Poopocalypse,” I thought to myself, “Nah, there’s no way this is real.” But then I saw this video and I knew...dreams really do come true. Once they make a “Boobocalypse” I will have proof of the existence of a benevolent God.

• So far, Dungeon Siege 3 has received a fairly mixed reception. It’s always a shocker when games with such creative titles aren’t what people were expecting. Yes, that was sarcasm.
