I am a young journalist looking to break into games coverage. I get the strong man-tears when I think about the end of Super Metroid.

The Grand Theft Auto V trailer is a bounty of information about the next entry in the blockbuster series, if you're willing to get a little obsessive about it. But worry not -- we skipped our dose of antipsychotics so you don't have to!

We might make too much of game length at times, but that doesn't make it any less of an important aspect to consider. Who wouldn't want more fun?
Brutal Legend and its mullet-bearing roadies, fire-spewing engine blocks, and axe-wielding hero gave me the gift of metal.
The Binding of Isaac is difficult, disgusting, and unabashedly sacrilegious, and Steam players just couldn't get enough of it on its release day.
Sometimes, good games make you feel so bad. Read one Hitman's oddly sexualized account of getting in like Flynn and left out to dry.

"Mr. Freeze is my favorite villain, because--at least in the animated series--you can tell he's a good guy who just wants to get what he needs to save his wife. Anybody who didn't get a little choked up at this scene in Batman & Mr. Freeze: SubZero http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_l_xOxux-bQ&feature=related JUST AIN'T HUMAN, MAN. My twitter is @c_sheridan and I would like a PS3 copy."

"Very cool! Double Fine is one of my favorite developers, I'm glad to hear they liked it."

"Good stuff! I really appreciate how you went past the obvious biblical references that most people (including myself) were satisfied to address and leave it at that. I never even thought about The Cask of Amontillado when I investigated those sealed-off rooms for treasure."

"To me, that's what really made it special, other than the typically wonderful characterization. Double Fine took one genre of music (with a ton of subgenres) and made it into a world that absolutely made sense when considered with the logic and materials of the music.

And I loved how each army was based off of a different style/era of the music! Just really smart, really rewarding world-craft."

"Thanks! While I wouldn't describe myself as a total metalhead now, I definitely appreciate it more than I ever did before playing the game."

"I'm afraid you're bound to be disappointed by the way Niko's story resolves after forging such a personal relationship with the character, but it's still worth checking out."

"I think we will start seeing more of this kind of real inquiry as more outlets find a need to differentiate themselves from proliferation of typical PR crap. With dozens of blogs reporting the same "news" from the same press releases and publisher-controlled press events, readers will eventually catch on to the fact that they're not actually getting anything out of it other than base titillation. There is a market for the topical sort of content the developers were obviously hoping to provide in this interview, but not nearly enough of it to sustain the current state of games journalism for long.

I hope."

"I've never found any success with sniping, so ever since BF1942 I was never very invested in that posture. From what I've played of BF3 so far, though, going prone is balanced just fine. Great for ranged combat, gets you squished like a dried out earthworm close up. The only problem I had was my whole team playing recon and never going after the damn M-COM stations."

"When I read the bit about the Meat Circus getting buffed I had an involuntary spasm. Such a great game with such a gut-punchingly awful escort mission right before the finale! Really speaks to DF's pride in its games that it is fixing up Psychonauts so long after release."

"I've been having the same problem, though I was able to get a change to my profile text to stick one time. No dice on the picture, however."

"As long as we're talking bugs, I've been having a heckuva time uploading a profile pic. As far as I can tell it matches all the parameters (under 2 mb, 80x80) but it's still no go. Just FYI, loving the site so far."
