Evening Bitmobsters (Mobsters for short? Still learning the ropes here.)

Just a small question: I can't seem to get a profile picture or bio to stay when I click the save button on the profile window. Any tips to help? All pictures have been under 2 megs, and I've tried resizing and cropping but they still don't seem to stick. Any help will be met with virtual high-fives and bro-fists.

I've been having the same problem, though I was able to get a change to my profile text to stick one time. No dice on the picture, however.

It's a bug. When you upload your picture the first time, sometimes the site will deselect the image, which will display the default. If you click "edit" again, you'll see that the little circle next to your profile picture will not be filled. Click that little circle again to select it, and save. That should do it.

Sorry...we do have a bug where you might not be able to upload a profile pic. We have some volunteer developers who are trying to solve this, but we haven't fixed it yet. Sorry!

It's alright, good to know I'm not just doing it wrong.

Any word on this issue being fixed yet? Still can't seem to upload/change my photo at all--tried it on both Chrome and Firefox too.

Sorry Andrew. We're not sure how to fix it, and it looks like we won't get to it because of this: http://bitmob.com/articles/venturebeat-acquires-bitmob. In about a month or two, we're planning on moving everything over to GamesBeat (under VentureBeat), and there, we should have much better technology and tools. We don't have the resources at Bitmob, but we will have access to much more at VentureBeat.

I'm really sorry! I hope that hasn't soured you on us, but we're a really small group that's built Bitmob -- we just don't have the resources to fix everything. :(  This one has stumped both our volunteer developers....

Hey Dan, thanks a lot for the fast response! No, this hasn't soured me at all on Bitmob, just slightly confused was all :)

Being in a development/design field myself, I can totally understand how any bug can have a surprisingly unobvious solution. Hope the move to GamesBeat goes successfully, can't wait to check it out!

Thanks for understanding, Andrew. :)
