"Another thing this is useful is that there are trading servers and free players can't trade, so having them in your server serves no purpose."

"it isn't much different from other games that kick 'noobs'.

When the noob audience gets better over a year or so I do think this would be used less often."

"Curious how nintendo will try to get back the casual crowd. It's safe to say that Apple stole that market. Haven't seen an adult using a ds since iphone 3g launched."

"funny you mention 2 of the games with really bad controls. Mortal Kombat is horrible. I think I've reached the point in which I could just view the screenshots on itunes and have a good idea if the controls are good or enough."

"That's true. I'm not saying that the best games are the ones with virtual controls.

Just saying that a virtual control game could be enjoyable as well. Doesn't have to be the 'best' game to be fun ;)"

"Strange. Never knew people thought mario kart gba was bad. I remember my mind was blown with the somewhat limited single cart multiplayer mode. And the coin management added a level of depth that I liked.

it also having the entire super nes track list as bonus was awesome as well."

"I'm confused about the Earthbound argument. I do recall nintendo power and other magazines really liking it. I enjoyed it a quite bit mainly because of the little 'clever' things packed in the game. Sure the combat system was pretty bare bones and the game seems 'generic' if you look the bullet point list of features, but the game just gives off a feeling that really stands out even today. "

"Too bad the rest of the game is pretty much that. Nothing really deviates. Get's rather repetitive =/ "
