Most of you, I am sure, have already been charmed by the PC title Magicka: a meme-laden fantasy adventure that promotes cooperation and subterfuge amongst friends via a unique elemental spell building system.
On the 12th of March, gaming commentator John Bain, better known as TotalBiscuit of CynicalBrit.com, hosted a five hour-long livestream as four members of the Swedish development team at Arrowhead Game Studios played through the entirety of their game and answered questions from the chat.
Despite numerous technical difficulties that initially plagued the stream, the heavily accented banter provided by Arrowhead's CEO John Pilestedt, Executive Vice President Emil Englund, Lead Programmer Anton Stenmark and Chief Financial Officer Robin Cederholm, touched on topics such as character inspiration, game design, and copyright infringement and proved just as charming and riddled with pop-culture references as their creation.
Fortunately, for those that missed it, Bain will post the entirety of the candid and highly entertaining broadcast on his TotalHalibut Youtube channel over the course of this week, so be sure to pencil it in.
