I bought a Kinect specifically for the original Dance Central. The motion-sensing peripheral was supposed to be a gift for my wife, but a few dance routines later made it clear who this shiny new toy was really for.

Not pictured: sweaty underwear.
As much as I liked the game, Dance Central was lacking in the multiplayer department. During Dance Battles, players had to dance alternate portions of songs, and there was no co-op option (unless you count the brief freestyle segments where everyone in the room can, and does, photobomb).
Harmonix heard my prayers and Dance Central 2 includes two-player simultaneous gameplay (co-op and Dance Battle), making it the best Kinect party game. Having a dance partner raises the replay value significantly, and it makes for a very interesting and unique gaming experience -- similar to the first time you play Rock Band with a full band.

People are laughing at your opponent, not at you.
My apartment isn't very large, but it was spacious enough to accommodate Dance Central 2's co-op gameplay. I rarely stepped on my partner's feet or got “accidentally” slapped in the face. I’m impressed with Dance Central 2's superb Kinect functionality; the motion sensor picks up the slightest movements and gestures.
The simple fun of shaking your booty to the sound of music inspired me to make a video. Extra special thanks to my wife Pura for helping me out and putting up with my insanity. The digital camera I used has auto-focus problems, so I apologize for the random blurriness.
