Fox News isn't satisfied with attacking the liberals, homosexuals, and foreigners. Gamers are next. Guess we'll just handle them like we handle most of our haters -- wait for them to die of old age.
News Blips:
Fox News thinks that Bulletstrom is atrocious filth. All the old people that actually pay attention to Fox News probably agree. The "experts" at Fox News are not a fan of Bulletstorm's gory, point-based killing. They go on to talk about how the game will ruin America's youth, turn them into murderers and rapists, yadda yadda yadda, and then criticize the ESRB. You know, the usual stuff. My favorite part is when they try to manufacture a link between the increase in rapes to sexual scenes in gaming with zero supporting facts. I think Fox News just wants all the children to save their aggression for the real enemy: liberals.
Hudson Entertainment, Hudson Soft's North American publishing arm, will be closing. According to 1UP, all games Hudson had in development have been cancelled, and the company will be redirecting its resources to creating social games. Actually, a Facebook version of Bomberman would be pretty sweet, but I don't think that's going to be much consolation to all those who lost their jobs.
Australians can look forward to some 3DSing on March 31. Nintendo revealed the details of the Australian launch of Nintendo's upcoming handheld at a press event in Syndey today, according to Joystiq. Along with announcing the March 31 release date, Nintendo also revealed that the system will launch with a price tag of AU$349.95. Of course, that's in silly Australian money, so who knows how much it's really worth. Probably a kangaroo or two...maybe a boomerang.
