Retro Ads: Beauty and the Beast Tiger Handheld

I'm not proud to admit that I owned numerous Tiger handhelds. From Castlevania 2: Simon's Quest to the terrible Power Rangers ones, I feel like I had them all. I know for a fact that I had this "beauty" right here [via The Retroist]:

Beauty and the Beast was, as you might expect, absolute crap. My purpose in showing this girly thing to you burly Bitmobbers is to point out the utter ridiculousness of the ad. It's all done up in lavender, and the candle holders are perhaps the worst leftovers from the early '90s I've ever seen. Ads like this are responsible for the lavender and pink color mixture that plagued girl accessories, rooms, and clothing for nearly a decade.

Oh Jasmine, quit pretending to be so rebellious. You know you loved this thing!

Ugh I had that awful thing too, all I remember from the game play was hitting the giant magic button over and over until my hands hurt.

My sisters had this, and The Little Mermaid handheld. I on the other hand had more manly ones like Paperboy, The Rocketeer, and Off Road.

I also had that Little Mermaid one. I miss my Castlevania 2 handheld so much now.

I remember seeing commercials for these Tiger Electronic handheld games and wanting them SO bad!

That brings back memories, I used to have a Road Rash 3 Tiger Handheld. The only reason I kept it after it died was because to me it looked like a futuristic laser gun :p

Awesome.

I still have the Snakes Revenge Tiger hand held somewhere in a box.  I played the hell out of that game.  It talked... brilliant stuff like "grenadier ahead, use grenades!".

Good times.

I guess I didn't love "adventure time," because I traded mine for the "101 Dalmations" handheld, haha.

Anyone remember the ear-splitting music? I would jam to Aladdin for hours.
