Gamers love to brag about what they play, especially when in comes to the stunts they pull for the love of competition. Before achievements, we had high scores and games that were next to impossible to beat.
Every month, I plan to challenge the Bitmob community to best a retro game -- from NES-era classics to PlayStation's Greatest Hits. They certainly won't be easy, but you don't have to worry about me assigning you an RPG or something so poorly designed that it's truly unbeatable -- like some versions of Bible Adventures for the NES.
For October, I want you to tackle an old survival horror favorite: Resident Evil.
The Rules:
1) We're playing the PlayStation version of Resident Evil. You can play either the original or the director's cut.
2) Play as Chris. Jill is too easy.
3) If you're playing the director's cut, do not enable the extra-items mode. You're playing this legit.
4) You have until November 1 to beat it or surrender. In this time, I recommend keeping a short journal here on Bitmob that tracks your experiences.
5) Tag your journal "Resident Evil Challenge."
At the end of the month, I'll feature a few journals on the front page.
Get to it!
