"Even with the production values and cinematics offered by games like Halo, Super Metroid remains to this day one of the most haunting and immersive experiences ever in the history of videogames, and the soundtrack greatly contributes to that. Thanks for writing about it. Maybe people who never got to play it will give it a chance. :)"

"I love these kind of games that are presented in the most abstract way possible. I'm reminded of Thomas was Alone (Flash game from Mike Bithell, currently being upgraded to PC/Mac platforms), and I Wish I Were the Moon (here: http://www.ludomancy.com/blog/2008/09/03/i-wish-i-were-the-moon/). Both are very experimental about their narrative through simplistic gameplay.

Only after reading this great and interesting post did I realize why I love them so much. Thanks for sharing this!"

"Obviously The Joker. He's insane, he's witty, and he's downright violent. All the ingredientes to make a character both lovable and hateful.

PS3 version would be nice. :)"

"Totally agreed. Even though I love jRPGs, Dark Souls is such a breath of fresh air into the genre (as well as Demon's was). You just don't go out slashing at every way and eating potions to recover health. You actually have to take into account what kind of enemy is in front of you, and plan your approach accordingly."

"Agreed, I'm constantly looking for sales on new games. Amazon is specially good at offering good deals even before some games actually come out.

But I can see the appeal in buying used games. I've done it too. Since I consider myself a collector, looking in some bargain bins and bazaars is the only way I can get some pretty rare jewels. That's how I came upon a mint copy of ZOE 2 just a few months ago, and how I plan to get an Infamous 2 Hero Edition's copy without having to pay a leg for it."

"That poster would liven up my bleak and bare walls. I wouldn't mind paying a ton for shipping it to Mexico. :D"

"I was never a fan of the Wii, but with all the price cuts it's had and the promise of these titles in American territory, I was very willing to buy a console just to play these three RPG masterpieces. But with Nintendo's recent "screw hardocores" attitude, I doubt that's going to happen.

The saddest part of it is that, by the time Nintendo decides to bring them to America (if ever), everyone who wanted to play them would have either imported or pirated them."

"Yup, I'm one of those who loves Little Nemo on the NES.

This sounds interesting, expect my own post in the next couple of days."

"I LOLed at Emma's inner monologue while dying. And in retrospect: yeah, WTF is wrong with the MGS2 storyline?!"

"Damn, I couldn't recognize #2, while being able to guess others I have never seen.

Also: must... resist urge... to watch Tekken... D:"

"Yeah, I really don't get Nintendo's message here. If it's a brand new console, the thunder it can produce will be short lived until the moment Microsoft or Sony announce their next-gen consoles. If it's about displaying media over a device... hell, the PSP already has Remote Play with the PS3, and with Vita it's gonna be even better.

Sure, I would love to see a (proper) Metroid game in HD, but I once bought a Gamecube just to play Metroid Prime when it came out, and I'm not willing to repeat the mistake of paying hard-earned cash for a console I won't be playing for more than a few months."

"While not an average Joe, Castlevania: Symphony of the Night certainly played with this idea with Alucard, the main character. When you enter the castle you're this all powerful being, slashing monsters here and there. But after a couple or rooms into it, Death comes and takes away all your equipment and powers, changing the way you've been playing until that moment. I thought it was great."
