Last weekend, I organized a paintball outing for Bitmob and pals. Thanks to Ben Rait, Bitmob fan and video master of Morning Fog Films, we caught a lot of the action on film. Huge thanks to him for taking his nice camera into the war zone (protected by a cardboard box, which you can see in some frames) -- and for taking several shots to the head before the ref yelled at me to stop. (I didn't recognize Ben's facemask-obscured head poking out from behind cover!)
The first video shows us getting ready for the day:
At 0:17, you can catch former Bitmob Managing Editor Brett Bates in the black shirt with gray long sleeves, and to his left is Staff Writer Omri Petitte in the short-sleeved black tee. And that's my adorable girlfriend Christina on the far right! I'm walking into the scene with full camo and the red ammo pack on my back around 0:29, then giving the thumb's up at 0:37. Executive Video Producer Sebastian Haley is in the white, hot-as-hell sweatshirt at 0:51. You might spot some 1UP, GamePro, and Area 5 folks in there as well.
Below is a more action from the day. I'm in the preview image with the Master Chief mask (coincidence) and the University of Michigan-themed, maize-and-blue gun (not a coincidence).
Wondering where other Bitmobbers Demian Linn, Rus McLaughlin, Ryan Perez, and Damon Packwood are? They all claimed they had other stuff going on, but I say they're just plain chicken.
