December 8 update: The giveaway is now over. Thank you all for participating. Here are the three winners:

  • herbertchin
  • gregzorz
  • SaraAB87

This fish is heavier than my mother-in-law!

The folks over at XSEED Games are giving away three copies of Fishing Resort (Wii) to Bitmob’s community. The Yuji Naka-developed title is perfect for gamers who must spend the winter at home instead of at a warm, tropical resort in the Caribbean. Fishing Resort comes bundled with a fishing rod peripheral for a more realistic experience.

View the rules for a chance to win:

  • Follow @bitmob on Twitter.
  • Send us a message on Twitter telling us what kind of fish you’d like to catch, along with a #bitmobgiveaway hashtag.

Fish, explore, stare at holes.

We will randomly select the winners on December 8 (early morning), and we’ll contact them via Twitter. You can also check back on this post to see who won. Good luck!

I'm oddly intrigued by this title. The open-world aspect of it seems neat...  drop a line in wherever there's water, see what happens. And I'm a sucker for Prope's weird experiments (Let's Tap, etc.). A relaxing change of pace from all the epic questing out there.

I agree. Sometimes you don't want to slay a dragon, or shoot a terrorist in the head. You want to sit back and relax. If a few virtual worms need to drown in the process...so be it.

I checked with PETA. They won't move for anything larger than a healthy salmon. WORMS BE DAMNED!!!

Yay! I love fishing. It reminds me of the fishing minigame in Twilight Princess, except with cuter characters.

I think I've only gone fishing in RPGs. Zelda and Breath of Fire immediately come to mind.

Hey, this is Gregzorz. Twitter isn't letting me reply to your message. Where should I send my address information? Thanks!
