I love the NFL. Dan Hsu can't get enough of college football. I say tomato, he says…never mind. What I'm trying to say is that while both the Madden and NCAA Football series are tremendously popular, some people love one more than the other. Hmmm, that sounds like a great premise for a contest!

Here's how you can win a copy of Madden NFL 11 or NCAA Football 11 for the PlayStation 3:

Send an email to letters@bitmob.com with the subject "Madden Vs. NCAA" or leave a comment in this story, and tell me which franchise you prefer and why. I'll pick the best entry for each title, and that person will win a copy of that game. Easy, eh?

Submissions are due by 9 a.m. PST on Thursday, August 19. We can only ship to addresses in the United States. Apologies to all you American Football fans out there in Libya.

Good luck!

I definitely prefer Madden over NCAA. I have always been more of a fan of players than specific teams, and in that sense Madden has a huge edge over NCAA.

I prefer NCAA because the Ohio State-Michigan rivalry trumps any other football rivalry, and definitely any wimpy NFL rivalries (I dare you to name a legitimate NFL rivalry).

While I love me some NCAA football, I can't deny the feeling that playing with an NFL team gives me. Getting to play as the pros that we all admire is truly an experience that I think so few games allow you to have. I personally am a Green Bay fan and Madden gives me the ability to go out everyday and play as my favorite team. I can take them all the way to the Super Bowl and win it all, even if they don't in real life. Madden gives me that extra connection to a team that I am so dearly devoted too and that's why I choose Madden over NCAA.

Going to have to give Madden the edge because they always give love to da Bears! – in every game they tend to rate Bears players a little higher than they probably deserve haha. That and the fact that in NCAA my alma mater, Northwestern, always seems to get the shaft. Maybe that changed this year thanks to our Outback Bowl appearance, but I have yet to pick it up so I don’t know. I know it sounds weird but I always prefer the announcing in Madden too, it just seems more professional.

I have to pick NCAA Football 11. You see, I went to Southern Methodist University, which historically was once a Texas football powerhouse. However, they are the only school to ever receive the NCAA Death Penalty, stripping the school of all scholarship-granting ability. For years, we had walk-ons fill our rosters, and year after year, schools from all over the country demolished our defense and picked apart our offense. My first year as a freshman was the most successful season the Mustangs had for years, ending the season 6-6 and barely missing a bowl bid. My sophomore and junior years saw two dismal, back-to-back 1-11 seasons. Finally, last year, the Mustangs made it to the Sheraton Hawaii Bowl, where we were picked to lose handedly against University of Nevada - Las Vegas; however, the Mustangs struck early and often--and I watched it all happen in the stadium. That's right--for all four years, I was in the school's band, and had to attend every game. I saw the best and worst, but I became a true fan by the end of my time at SMU. The victory in Hawaii was the best present I could ever ask for. Everytime I play NCAA football, I think about my time at SMU and try to rebuild my own version of the Mustangs into digital greatness.

Ok quite simply you can some this up as which style do you prefer? Madden - is an arcade score crazy fest that pits dominate teams against other weaker teams in a first to blow out for the super bowl. NCAA is more about actually knowing plays and drafting the correct needs for your teams year in and out due to graduation. Where you can take a 1 star team and take them to the championship with great coaching, instead of playing with a 5 star team such as Ohio State. It has a little more prestige if you went to that school to see them win a championship and to win awards !! for all kinds of positions not just a spot in the Hawaii Pro Bowl --So for a guy who was raised in WV where there are no "Pro Teams" we can only cheer for college. Plus I like to play as WVU and change the scedule around so that I can stick it to ol Rich Rod in Michigan for screwing us over - I hope Mr. Shoe enjoys him as  his coach. I totally give my nod to NCAA every year for better football game.

I like/dislike Madden because my football obsessed best friend and I used to have so much fun playing it. Even though he always beat me so bad the o accused him of having a cheat line connected to his Genesis that gave him a direct connection to Madden himself, and that Madden was really playing me and winning. Not him. The truth was that I just always hit the switch player button and made my defenders jump the wrong way. Because I suck at the game.

I prefer Madden because of what Madden has done for me over the years. I’ve been playing madden since 1999 when my Dad taught me the basics and ever since then  I have just fallen in love with the game. Madden gives such attention to detail, grasping the way the game is played down to a T which is far beyond NCAA. The game of Madden is a perfect example of my lifestyle “ a grind to the finish” which I don’t think NCAA captures that. That is why I prefer Madden over NCAA.

I think NCAA is better because it's the same pagentry and school sprirt you feel on game day. That whats make college football great, and that is why NCAA is awesome.

I prefer the Madden franchise over NCAA Football, but it's a close call.  As far as gameplay goes, I think the actual football games are just about even.  They both have gameplay features that distinguish themselves from one another, but it's still about even.  The reasons I like Madden better is because I like the league setup for the NFL a LOT better than NCAA.  I hate college's "bowl" play and I would take a playoff over it hands down.  Also, there are a few legal issues that hold NCAA back, such as not being able to use the names of the players on the game.  It's not that big of a deal, but it's sort of annoying.

Madden has always been the far better franchise in videogames. It's the NFL it's what people in the NCAA want to be and look up to. The NCAA  doesn't look down at the NFL it looks up. Madden is also much more personal since it gives players their proper names and numbers. Although Madden is also the ultimate father son bond game in my house so Madden is like THE game I need to get.
Plus Madden has the Bears! Name a NFL team better then the Bears. GO BEARS!

Well personaly I think Madden because more people go nuts over it.  Also Madden 64 was my first football game I played other then Techno Bowl.  Also, Brett Favre can't fake retire.  He has to play in the game world for ever XD

They are both good games, but I like NCAA franchise better because it has such a greater variety of styles of play.  Most NFL teams run essentially the same offense, but in college you'll see the Texas Tech air raid (80%+ passing), Georgia Tech's triple option (80%+ running), Spread running attacks like Oregon, Spread passing attacks like Cincinnati, Old school I-form running at Wisconsin, and new formations like Nevada's Pistol.  I just get a lot more gameplay because there are so many different ways to play the game.

I enjoy playing madden more then i play ncaa because i honestly always played madden and i have loved to play teams in the nfl. The reason why i want madden is because ive been enjoying madden since it was on the game boy so you can say ive enjoyed playing this game for a long time and you are right. This would be very apreciated if i can get the madden 11 for the ps3. This will continue the legacy that i have with the madden franchise collection
