In the first of two Bitmob Spotlights this weekend we've got a personal story from Lee Bradley, a contentious claim by David Matos, a preview from Rob Savillo of a game I'm suddenly nuts for, and a cautionary Xbox Live tale from Jon Schults.

A Youth Well Wasted: Chapter One
By Lee Bradley
This apparently multipart story by Lee, about a friendship forged at English bowling alley arcades in the late 80s, ends on a bit of a cliffhanger....

Objectifying Both Sides
By David Matos
David makes the controversial claim (see the comments) that men and male characters are objectified in video games as much as women.

Gratuitous Space Battles
By Rob Savillo
I hadn't heard of this game before reading Rob's post, but now I'm in a total Day One Scenario for Gratuitous Space Battles, as in with bells on. It had me at "Imagine tower defense with space fleets..."

The Unspoken Gap Between EA and Microsoft on Xbox Live
By Jon Shults
Just got kinda screwed via a joint effort from EA and Xbox Live, and if you have a kid you should probably read all about it.

Sweet! Glad to see I made the cut. I need to catch up on the other articles. And thanks, Toby.

@Aaron - Even if your article was not frontpaged right away does not mean it will not be eventually. Sometimes a story is taken from months ago and put on the front page. Just keep writing and the gods of selection will smile down on you.
