This is Bitmob X-Com. Catch up on the exploits of the community with the first episode, and follow the whole series with the Bitmob X-Com tag.
X-Com -- the last line of defense against the alien menace. You are the brave men and women who will fight the invaders and drive them from our planet. The organization will arm you with rifles, heavy cannons, and bad language so that your courage knows no bounds. Suit up -- we’re going to war!
Sorry everyone -- I've just been too busy to get the latest edition completely ready. I'll have to postpone our update until Monday.
I'm also going to rearrange the schedule and post the updates every Monday going forward. This means that the voting schedule will likely change, too. I'll inform you all of any alterations in Monday's new edition.
In the meantime, you can comment here to sign up for combat. If you missed out on last week's exploits, catch up here.
Additionally, you guys can chose a new research option. Right now, we're researching medi-kits, which our scientists describe as progressing averagely. Here's the list of available options:
- Alien alloys
- Alien grenade
- Elerium-115
- Floater corpse
- Laser rifles
- Heavy laser
- Heavy plasma (and clip)
- Medi-kit (current project)
- Mind probe
- Motion scanner
- Plasma gun (and clip)
- Plasma pistol (and clip)
- Sectoid corpse
- Small launcher
- Stun bomb
- UFO navigation
- UFO power source
Also, we're nearing the end of our first in-game month, which means we're about to receive money from the funding nations. If you guys have any grand strategies you'd like me to implement, flesh them out in the comments and engage the community in a discussion. I'll read through and try my best to use the strategy that most of you endorse.
That's about it for now. I'll check in and update the post with new recruits and research choices.

Awww. I wish there was a dislike button. I was looking forward to this next entry.
Please guys, if you haven't signed up for this yet- do so.
I will be looking forward to the next entry!
I swear I did not post this 3 time. Firefox is doing this a lot lately... sorry guys.
I wish you could delete these....
Frank, the next entry is extra long -- I hope you enjoy it! I'm on track to publish on Monday.
Sweet! This series inspired me. I would love to see it carried over to other games- if at all possible.
I am still trying to play X-COM. I haven't had much time to sit down an invest in reading up on how to play. Instead I am just tinkering whenever I get the chance.
Thanks, Rob!
