Game-expo booth babes speak out on nerd perspiration

Back in 2010, I interviewed a handful of promotional models at the Electronics Entertainment Expo trade show to hear what they thought about working such a gig. Most of them responded that it was fun and that they met a lot of nice, interesting people. Then, I asked them about having to take pictures with a bunch of sweaty conference attendees. It turns out, they had a lot of passionate opinions on that subject, and I decided to (finally) compile their responses into a short video.

We’ve already seen countless photo galleries of these and other women dressed up in video game-themed costumes. Instead, I was more interested in hearing if they’ve ever contracted “nerd shoulder” syndrome and what their best methods for prevention are.

For those uninitiated, NSS is transmitted when deodorant-deficient dudes place their pits around the shoulders of booth babes for photo ops and then end up leaving their stench behind.

This isn’t hard-hitting journalism, but whatever. My last video featured senior citizens who still devoutly play Wii Sports bowling almost six years after the game’s release.

Feel free to leave feedback in the comments section, and thanks for watching.

I like how a few (like Catwoman) find creative ways to avoid the nerd pits by making the first move (or standing a certain way).

It was funny going through the footage, because that one woman mentions the lean-in technique, then I happened to have video of Catwoman doing that exact maneuver!

That arranged Secret of the Forest tune makes me sweat.
