Last Friday I wanted to start a new weekly series on what free games are available and should be interesting of note. But something happened along the way to my post where it didn't save. I was angry, sad and depressed. It was going to be my best post to date but after realizing that it was gone, I just closed my editor and went on with my weekend.
With that said, I am going to try and recreate what should have been up. It won't have the same powerful wording and thought that it did but I'll just give you the bullet points on what was missed.
Free games I recommend this week are:
Paper Toss - Sounds like a simple game but your obstacles is distance and a desk fan. The goal is to score as many tosses of a rolled up trashin the can in a row. Mess up and your score resets. Strive for lots! iTunes Store Link.
Assasin's Creed Lite - I know, this is a demo but maybe this will encourage you to spend some cash on a quality game on the iPhone. I heard a lot of bad things about this game when it was on the Nintendo DS but since you get a nice port of it to the iPhone and a nice price cut (full version is $4.99); it might not be a bad investment.
The game is a nice platform adventure, has descent graphics and a storyline that keeps you interested in the AC world. I really don't know why the DS version got so trashed in reviews but this one is worth the ticket. The controls is a virtual d-pad. It's not one of the best but good enough to move around and do your thing. iTunes Store Link.
Jimney Chimney - Like Elise, this gamehas nice music but as a shooter. The graphics are simple lineart but it support multi-tuch action. So if you like 8-bit music and shooting things, this is your free game. iTunes Store Link.
Also in the news, Resident Evil 4 might be headed towards the iPhone as well. It was up on the App store for a short time but was pulled down immediately by Capcom. Check out the video by some lucky user that was able to get their hands on it before it was gone.
