When people come over to my pad for the first time, they don't marvel at my huge video game collection. They don't look at all the crazy board games they've never heard of before stacked on my bookshelf. Heck, they barely notice my massive 65" HDTV. The first thing they see is my wall of still-mint-in-box Mighty Muggs -- these stout, colorful action figures "made from 100% recycled awesome" (their marketing, not mine) that span over great geek licenses like Marvel, Star Wars, G.I. Joe, Transformers, and Indiana Jones.
Bitmob moderator Toby Davis recently put up a story wondering which video game characters would make for good Muggs. I don't know if Hasbro will ever secure any rights from the Capcoms and Nintendos of the world, but until then, the DIY community's got it covered.
