My Video Game Bucket List

I've come to grips with the fact that I quit games to often. To remedy this problem, I've created my very own Video Games Bucket List. These are games I must finish and now I have the motivation to do so. What's your video game bucket list?  List it in the comments section.

This was my first time playing the real original Metal Gear. The NES version was arguably my most favorite game of all time. This version had a few technical hiccups, but highlighted the fact that the boss-fight changes to the NES version were dumb. Still a great game! Completed

I haven't picked this on up yet. I decided to jump in FFIX first. Not Started
Roughly 1.5hrs in. I dig it so far. Now Playing!
I got about half-way through this game about 3 years ago and quit. I loved playing this game, but never finished it because I tore down my gaming rig to build my music studio at the time. I was also 360 Achievement crazy by that point. I'm filing it under 'Not Started' since it requires a restart. Not Started
I was bored out of my mind the last time I tried to play this, but I want to give it another shot. Not Started
Figured I might as well finish up all the Shin Megami games I have. Not Started
Another restart that I quit several years ago. Not Started
And another. Although, I only played this one for about an hour before I quit, so it's more like I just sampled it. Not Started
Strangely, I didn't enjoy Xenosaga 1 very much. But I've heard the series gets progressively better. I hope so. Not Started

Heard this one was great. Not Started
I'm not sold that LoD is as great as it's niche fanbase has led me to believe. I hope it proves me wrong. Not Started
I gave this one the ole college try back when it dropped. I dug it for awhile but was put off by the slow and simple combat system and how long level grinding took. I'm gonna come back at this one with a more open mind and hope to enjoy it as much as all my friends did. Not Started
Another game I quit on boredom. I can be quoted as saying, "I'd rather watch the Xenogears movie than play this boring, cutscene heavy game." But I did like the charm of the game and will give it another go. Not Started
I am absolutely ashamed to admit that I never finished this game. I've logged 50+ hours playing this game easy. I just never stayed on task to finish it. Not Started

It took me about a year to get around to doing the main quest line in Morrowind. It's so easy to get side tracked in that game.

A lot of these games are on my list, actually. I found copies of Xenosaga Episodes 2 and 3 a couple of weeks ago and I'm slowly working my through the trilogy.

Most of the games I want to make it through are RPG's as well.

Agreed about Morrowind, I don't think there's nothing to be ashamed about if you've played 50+ hours in a game like that and haven't finished the main quest.  And I'm in the same boat.

I think it's definitely a testament to how good a game it is.  I hope Skyrim gets some of that flavor that Oblivion missed a bit.

Whoever told you that Xenosaga gets better is a liar. Xenosaga II is the worst of the trilogy, though Xenosaga III isn't bad if you don't mind the nonsensical/ illogical religous references and imagery, including a special cameo by Jesus. But you're supposed to play Xenogears first, mostly because you won't understand any of the references to Xenogears in Xenosaga unless you played Xenogears first. Not that any of it really makes sense.

Rogue Galaxy just really isn't worth it. It's a long game with a decent battle system and an asinine story.

Your enjoyment of DQVIII will greatly depend on your nostalgia level. When it came out, I hadn't played an old-school RPG for quite a while, and I loved it. That was five or six years ago. I know that if I played it again I would hate it.

I also forgot MGS3 Snake Eater...  That's also on my list...

I hear you on Rogue Galaxy.  I eventually got bored of the game because the story added no incentive to push forward.

I'm really sad I gave up on Persona 3.  I loved playing that game.  Dang achievement points pulled me away.

I probably got about 1/3 thru DQ8.  I was on JRPG overload by that point in my life.  For the last few years, I've only played Oblivion Style RPGs and the occasional Star Ocean Hybrid RPG types.  Getting back into classic JRPGs has been nice so far with FF9.
