I could quote one of Castlevania: Symphony of the Night's many cheesy dialogue lines, but I figured we've all read enough of those to last a lifetime by now.
News Blips:
Konami announces Castlevania Puzzle: Encore of the Night for the iPhone and iPod Touch. The player assumes the role of Alucard and other characters from Castlevania: Symphony of the Night in this gem-based versus-puzzle game. I wonder if the levels all still turn upside down after you think you beat the main game.
Microsoft plans to have Cirque du Soleil perform as part of their Project Natal event at next month's Electronic Entertainment Expo. The performance is planned for June 13 in Los Angeles. I have a hunch that if any of those artistic Cirque de Soleil actors actually play Natal, they'll look much cooler than any of us ever will playing it. [Joystiq]
Bayonetta game designer Hideki Kamiya is upset over fan-made pornographic comics based on his game. In a recent Twitter post (via Gamegrep), Kamiya said that "it seems there's pornographic doujinshi based off Bayonetta.... There are fans who will resent that, and I hardly think those responsible [for the doujinshi] hold any love for the game...." Well, they certainly hold something for the game -- which some people might confuse for love.
The Hollywood Reporter writes on its Heat Vision blog that Sony Pictures Animation has picked up the rights to make a Rollercoaster Tycoon movie. They plan on making a live action/CGI hybrid with Harald Zwart (Karate Kid 2010) on board as the film's executive producer and possibly the director as well. As long as the film depicts janitors in panda suits cleaning up after nauseous riders, I'm sold.
