What do you mean we can't get the Marvel vs. Capcom 2 arcade stick for Dreamcast? Don't you know what week this is?

News Blips:

Capcom is teaming up with Mad Catz to release the Marvel vs. Capcom 2 Arcade Fightstick: Tournament Edition. This coincides with the game's re-release for PSN and XBLA. It's also nice to know Capcom is consistent with their extended naming method for fighting games and related merchandise. [1up]

Vivid Entertainment, the largest adult video production company in the world, is pushing to get their content availble for online distribution across all three current-gen gaming platforms. This optimisim comes as a result of Sony allowing on-demand Blu-ray quality adult movies to be available in Japan on the Playstation Network. PS3 Porn, while hot, will never please our joysticks as much as Super Hornio Bros.[Kotaku]

Apple is getting a bit ahead of itself, declaring that the gaming applications and experience on the iPhone OS are better than the more traditional PSP and Nintendo DS. At yesterday's iPhone/iPod conference, Apple head honcho Steve Jobs somehow got the idea that the quantity of games, their low price, and a no-button interface translate into Apple being a contender for the current handheld gaming leader. We don't even know where to begin addressing what's wrong with this picture. [Gamespot]

Frustrated with Batman: Arkham Asylum? Maybe you should try playing a legit copy. It seems that Eidos purposely glitched a portion of the game that only shows up in pirated copies, resulting in Batdeath by way of poisonous gas. We hope none of the Bitmob community reviewers of the game let this glitch affect their opinions of it. [Joystiq]

Poor little apple, thinking they are one of the big boys in gaming. Unfortunately i have an iphone and i have bought a few games here and there (Space Invaders: Infinity Gene, Baseball Superstars) The games i bought are fun but they are really just for me to pass the time at work on break or when there is down time. The battery in the Iphone just isn't made for heavy use. Make a few calls, play with a few apps and play a game for a bit and you can put a real hurt on the battery life. The lack of buttons and a dpad or analog stick also really kills my desire to play games for a long time. Control is a major thing in games and poking around on the screen doesn't cut it. Silly apple thinking they're a contender.
