News Blips:
Ninja Gaiden 3 producer Yosuke Hayashi says criticisms of Ninja Gaiden 2 will inform the direction of its sequel. "Ninja Gaiden 2 is already outdated. That's why the industry evolution for game creation and game development already has been changed and paradigm shifted [since Ninja Gaiden 2]," said Hayashi in an interview with Videogamer.com. Hayashi added that the series started with a focus on cutting people and that he would like to return Ninja Gaiden to that foundation. No word yet on whether Hayashi will hole up in his room and listen to Linkin Park to help facilitate the cutting process.
EA and Crytek announce the Crysis 2 multiplayer demo will be available exclusively on Xbox 360 on January 25. Crysis 2 is the sequel to the technical marvel released only on PC, and it's said to push the 360 to its limits. Crysis 2 will be available on PC, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360 on March 22 -- or as I like to call it, "Five days before the 3DS is released."
Several "kill Obama" levels appear in LittleBigPlanet2. A handful of levels have popped up in LBP2 with anti-Obama messages, because some people apparently like to express their hatred (TEH H3LTHCARS!) in particularly ridiculous ways. Here are a few level titles:
- obama kill read description
- defeat obamas
- hêârt if ù häte ôbámå ( seriously ) h4h
- m odes to kill obama
- stupid obama
- KILL OBAMA!!!!!!!!!!!!!
- arrest obama for life
Freedom of speech is great and all, but I'm guessing that the group of severe-looking men called the Secret Service won't take kindly to tracking down a bunch of mouth breathers who live in their mother's garage. [Destructoid]
Nintendo says "no thanks" to licensing the Super Mario Bros. theme to the upcoming Justin Bieber movie. Beebs. Biebalicious. JB. Whatever you call him, it is time for the Beliebers of the world to unite! Nintendo has denied their prophet the one thing he really wants...which apparently is to use 15 seconds of the the world-famous theme to Super Mario Bros. in his latest film. The film's director, John Chu, tweeted a plead to Nintendo asking why they would turn down free advertising. I don't know, John, maybe because you wanted to pay them in "free advertising" and not in American Dollars (or Chinese Yuans if you are reading this five years from now).
