Recently, we asked you to select your favorite Bitmob community articles from last year. Now, we'd like your help picking the best games of 2010 -- but we're going to ignore the traditional (read: boring) ranking system and instead turn the selection process into a game itself.
Here's the premise: Now that the industry has "leveled up" from 2010 to 2011, you need to allocate stat points to the games of the previous year. How? Simple:
- Determine your five favorite games that came out last year.
- Disseminate 10 "Award Points" to those five games. You must give each game at least one Award Point. (In other words, the maximum AP you can give any one game is six.)
- Add your list to the comments below.
Special Bonus: Write a separate post (250 words or more) about your top game and we'll give it an extra 4 AP! Make sure you include the tag "Level up!" and title it "[Your name]'s stat boost: [game]" so we can easily find it.
To help get you started, this is how I'm allocating my Award Points for 2010:
Red Dead Redemption - 3 AP
Mass Effect 2 - 3 AP
Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood - 2 AP
DeathSpank - 1 AP
Alan Wake - 1 AP
More inspiration can be found on page 2, where I've listed the top five games from each Bitmob staffer.
In a week, we'll post the results. The game with the highest number of Award Points takes home the Golden Pixel Man trophy and the title of "Bitmob Community Game of the Year."
Start your allocating!
