The main reason I’ve already spent over 30 hours with Just Cause 2 is that it’s a tremendous amount of fun to explore the fictitious island of Panau. It seems as if there’s always a snow-covered mountain, coral reef, desert canyon, winding river, or towering waterfall just waiting to be discovered.
Now that I’ve seen just about every inch of the game’s 400+ square miles, I thought I’d share some of the beauty I’ve enjoyed (when I wasn’t killing guys).
Climbing over the desert
Panau City at sunset
Flying over the island's tallest mountains
You don't have to be up in the air to enjoy Panau
A very inviting mountain lake
Nothing compliments a waterfall better than a nice casino
Taking a break from blowing up the desert's many oil pipelines
Lightning briefly lights the night sky
The island's even more beautiful in a stolen jet
Enjoying the sunrise after a hard night of causing chaos

Game looks very pretty but what's with the green hue of all the pictures? Does the game look like that?
It was sunrise/sunset in quite a few of them. I think that's what you're seeing.
OK, so...Aaron, would you say it's a *good* game now?
Yeah, it's a good game, but you have to work a bit to see past the lame missions. I'm glad I stuck with it.
I played it a couple hours last night and didn't really get into it. I suppose I'm still on the aforementioned lame missions but most of the dialog is painful. Of course the game is more about action than story. It is fun to use the grappling hook on chasing vehicles. Attach them to the road or other inanimate objects to get some nice rollovers.
The dialogue is awful and the missions are boring. You've got to make your own fun and do the missions when you feel like it. I beat the game and only ended up doing 13 total missions.
