Most Bitmob Writing Challenge prompts focus on improving your article-writing skills. In this month’s entry, Picture Text, I’m more concerned with how you can screenshots to create enticing captions using three different formats. The deadline for this challenge is Monday, January 31st.

To repeat the rules:

  • Select a video-game screenshot with no watermarks. An example of a watermark would be a picture that has an IGN or GameSpot logo on it.
  • Write a short caption of 140 characters or fewer that grabs the reader's attention.
  • Write a caption between 50 and 100 words that explains what is happening in the photo.
  • Write a 500-word description covering as many aspects of the photo as possible, such as the characters, environment, graphics, and even the lifebars.
  • Post the article with “Picture Text” in the tags.

Here are links to the original post and a sample piece if you need more help. And remember: To demonstrate how important captions are, I will only use the 140-character short caption in the Collected Works roundup to encourage people to check out your stories.

Good luck.
