The Community Spotlight highlights some of the best articles that didn't quite make the front page. This week, our community takes a look at Toys R Us, some very unique awards, and the best and worst platform for Pokemon.

So what is a "framed narrative" anyway?
By Joshua Wirtanen
Good question. After all the chatter about the new direction for Dragon Age 2’s storytelling, I am glad Joshua put the concept into perspective, and in the process, made me very interested in the upcoming release.

What Toys R Us taught me about gaming

By Dennis Scimeca
In other thoughtful column from Dennis, he explores the tension between video games as plaything and video games as artistic medium in the depths of a Boston-area Toys R Us. Sometimes I wonder whether we should all go work in retail so we can tell parents what video games their children should be playing...but then we’d have to deal with all sorts of people who don’t read sites like this. Even worst, we’d have to deal with people who do read sites like this.

I’m kidding.

Best "Game of the Year awards" Award goes to this post down here
By Badr Alomair

By Joey Davidson

DC Universe Online: Harbinger of the MMO

By Dennis Scimeca
This is going to be an interesting year for MMOs with a couple major releases planned. That said, DC Universe Online for the PS3 left Dennis feeling fairly indifferent, and he tries to place the beta into the bigger MMO picture.
