Welcome Back

Sony announced today full functionality of all PlayStation Network services, including Qriocity, in all territories excluding Japan, South Korea and Hong Kong by week's end. Users have been unable to access all services (due to a network breach by hackers) since April 20th, 2011, although partial restoration of online multiplayer, Netflix and Hulu were restored on May 18th. While aiming for a May 31st restoration, we will have to wait until tomorrow (here in the States) to see if they are available for business. With Tuesdays being Sony's regular publishing date for the PlayStation Store, I'm hopeful (and eager for my freebies). Bullet points from the press release are as follows:

 Full functionality of PlayStation Store

 In-game commerce

Ability to redeem vouchers and codes

Full functionality on Music Unlimited powered by Qriocity for PS3, PSP, VAIO and other PCs

 Full functionality on Media Go

Awesome! Now I can finally pick up PixelJunk Shooter 2 and play through that. Probably going to use a PSN card to buy it though. Not quite ready to hand over my credit card again.
