Ten years ago this week, Sony acquired Uncharted developer Naughty Dog, best known at the time for the Crash Bandicoot series. Maybe one day we'll finally get that Crash-Uncharted crossover game I had a weird dream about once.

2003: Sony debuts The Getaway in San Francisco, hailing it as the most ambitious video game ever made. Jump forward to 2011: You can pick up a copy of The Getaway and its sequel for under $10 total while games like Ico start at around $20.
2008: Codemasters unveils the lamentable Leisure Suit Larry: Box Office Bust.

1983: Hikaru Utada is born. She is a Japanese pop singer known to American audiences best as the ethereal voice behind the Kingdom Hearts soundtrack.

1981: Development on the Commodore 64 begins after a group of technicians set out to improve upon the Vic-20.

1972: Chrono Trigger and Xenogears composer Yasunori Mitsuda is born. His music is featured in over 35 games.
1985: David Crane unveils the Ghostbusters game for the Commodore 64 on TV. And, as luck should have it, I have a handy video to prove it:
